Nau mai, haere mai.

Kaeā, in Te Reo Māori, means to wander, to lead, or to teach. To wander bravely, to lead respectfully, and to teach responsibly.

Kaeā aims to share the beauty of Te Ao Māori by creating and selling products that showcase our connections to the whenua (lands), our culture, and our tupuna (ancestors).

Part of Our Kaupapa

At Kaeā, we want to pay our deepest respects to the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live and create—the Gubbi Gubbi/Kabi Kabi people of the Redcliffe Peninsula, Brisbane. We stand in solidarity with all Indigenous peoples in their efforts to protect, preserve, and revitalise their culture and language.

Everything we create is made with care, respect, and deep gratitude for the resources gifted to us by Papatūānuku.
